Questions people ask before signing up
If your question isn’t here, ask it in the free review form and we’ll answer by email.
How much does it cost?
You pay a set price for each item that gets deleted from one of your credit reports. The price is in writing before you sign. There’s no setup fee and no monthly fee, and items that stay on your report are never billed.
When am I charged?
Only after an updated credit report shows the item deleted. Nothing is charged to sign up or while disputes are open.
Can you remove accurate negative items?
No. No one can lawfully remove accurate, current and verifiable information. Most accurate negative items must come off after 7 years, and bankruptcies after 10. We dispute items that are inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or that the company reporting them can’t verify.
How long does it take?
A bureau generally has 30 days to investigate a dispute, or up to 45 days if you send more information during that time. Some items come off in the first round; others take more than one round, and some don’t come off at all. Your contract includes our estimate of how long the work will take.
Will my credit score go up?
We can’t promise that. Scores depend on everything in your file, not only the items we dispute, and each scoring model weighs things differently.
Do you pull my credit?
No. You get your own reports free at AnnualCreditReport.com and share them with us. Checking your own reports doesn’t count as a hard inquiry.
Can I do this myself?
Yes, and it’s free. You can dispute errors directly with Equifax, Experian and TransUnion online or by mail. People hire us to save the time, keep track of every dispute, and follow up when a response doesn’t add up.
Can I cancel?
Yes. You can cancel for any reason within 3 business days of signing, at no cost. Your contract also explains how to end the service after that.
Do you work in my state?
Tell us your state in the review form. Some states have their own rules for credit repair companies, and we’ll confirm whether we can work with you before you sign anything.
Do you help with business credit or loans?
We work on your personal credit reports. We don’t build business credit files or arrange financing. More for business owners.
What should I not send you?
Don’t send your Social Security number or your reports through the website form. We’ll reply by email with how to share your reports securely.
See what’s worth disputing before you pay anything
Tell us what’s on your reports. We’ll reply by email with the items we’d dispute and the price per deleted item, in writing, before you sign.
