Credit repair for business owners
When you apply for business funding, the lender often looks at your personal credit too. If there are errors on your reports, it’s better to find and dispute them before you apply.
Why your personal credit comes up
A young business usually has little credit history of its own, so lenders lean on the owner’s. Many business loans and lines of credit also ask the owner to sign a personal guarantee, which makes your personal file part of the decision. A collection that isn’t yours, or a late payment reported in the wrong month, can mean a decline or a higher rate.
Plan around your application date
A bureau generally has 30 days to investigate a dispute, and some files take more than one round. If you know roughly when you’ll apply, tell us in the review form so we can say whether there’s enough time. We’ll be straight with you if there isn’t.
Hard inquiries before you apply
Inquiries you authorized are accurate and stay on your report. An inquiry from a company you never applied with can be disputed. While disputes are open, it usually makes sense to hold off on new credit applications so you aren’t adding inquiries.
What we do, and what we don’t
- We work on your personal Equifax, Experian and TransUnion reports.
- We don’t build or repair business credit files (such as Dun & Bradstreet), and we don’t arrange loans.
- We don’t tell you how a specific lender will decide. Every lender sets its own criteria.
Billing works the same as for everyone: no setup fee, no monthly fee, and you pay only for items deleted. See how billing works.
See what’s worth disputing before you pay anything
Tell us what’s on your reports. We’ll reply by email with the items we’d dispute and the price per deleted item, in writing, before you sign.
